An offsite regional meeting of KAZENERGY Women Energy Club (hereinafter referred to as the WEC) was held on March 20 this year at Embamunaigas JSC.
A.Zhaksybekov, Chairman of the Board of Embamunaigas JSC, A.Azhgaliyeva, Deputy Akim of Atyrau region, A.Akkaisiyeva, Chief Financial Officer at Kazmortransflot UK ltd, Chairperson of the WEC, presented their welcoming remarks at the opening session.
The plenary session moderated by R.Tasmagambetova, Deputy CEO for Economy and Finance of Embamunaigas JSC was held within the framework of the offsite meeting.
L.Akhmurzina, Executive Director of HR Development of KAZENERGY Association; Zh.Satubaldina, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Halyk Bank JSC; A.Suinshebkkyzy, Leading Financial Analyst and Staff Development Coordinator at Tengizchevroil LLP Women Community; A.Zhailasheva, Head of HR Management at Atyrau Refinery LLP; Z.Suleimenova, Material Support Advisor at POD NCOC N.V.; and N.Aitiyeva, Chairperson of the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan in Atyrau region PA, participated in the plenary session as speakers.
The main purpose of the offsite meeting was to exchange experience and practice of gender development in oil and gas companies. At the plenary session, R.Tasmagambetova highlighted the goals, tasks and plans of the work of “Munaishy kyz” women community at Embamunaigas. In her speech, L.Akhmurzina shared the global and Kazakhstan’s statistics, the WEC’s operations and told on the activities scheduled for 2019. Representatives of Halyk Bank JSC, Tengizchevroil LLP, NCOC N.V. and Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan in Atyrau region also provided presentations on the role and contribution of women communities established in the companies.
Within this, female workers of oil and gas industry were awarded on behalf of KAZENERGY Association and Embamunaigas JSC as part of the offsite meeting.
Along with the above, the meeting of the WEC Executive Committee was held, during which the work plans for 2019 were discussed: the development of an informational and analytical review “The Role of Women in the Energy Sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan” jointly with the EBRD, the implementation of the Digital Coaching Project, the IV WEC Forum and other organizational issues.
This event is an evidence of the awareness and importance of the social and economic initiatives put forward by women. KAZENERGY Association expresses deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to Embamunaigas JSC for supporting initiatives and organizing a regional WEC meeting, which brings together female representatives of oil and gas industry.
