Registration of teams for participation in the third intellectual team competition “Student Energy Challenge” among students of technical specialties of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan was completed.
“Student Energy Challenge” has been organized by the KAZENERGY Association in partnership with the Shell Kazakhstan Company since 2017. The aim of the competition is to support students’ projects that offer innovative solutions to energy problems.
This year, a record number of teams have registered. A total of 69 teams represent 27 higher education institutions from 15 regions of the country. Further, the registered teams must send a short video clip about the team and project before May 2, 2019, in order to pass to the next stage.
The video clip is a short presentation video lasting 2-4 minutes about team members, describing the goals of the project, relevancy of the theme and expected effect of the project.
In general, the contest is aimed at the development of professional and personal potential of students of Kazakhstan, support for the development of engineering thinking and creativity, transfer of best practices and technical skills of the industry to Kazakhstani students, as well as gaining experience for the accumulation and capitalization of competencies to participate in large grant projects and motivation in future scientific and entrepreneurial activity.
