On September 30, 2019, at the site of the KAZENERGY Association, a discussion was held with representatives of employers on the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory insurance of employees from accidents during execution of labor (service) duties”.
The meeting was attended by representatives of employers – JSC NC KazMunayGas, North Caspian Operating Company N. V., Tengizchevroil LLP, NAC Kazatomprom JSC, Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc., KazMunaiTeniz LLP, Atyrau Refinery LLP, MAEK-Kazatomprom JSC, Samruk-Energy JSC, Almaty Power Stations JSC, Embamunaigas JSC, SNPS-Aktobemunaigas JSC, Mangistaumunaigas JSC, KazTransOil JSC, Ozenmunaigas JSC, KazEnergy Association.
The agenda included discussion of the received proposals to the comparative table of the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory insurance of employees from accidents during execution of labor (service) duties”. This draft law proposes the exclusion of mixed liability of the parties and the determination of the degree of guilt of the employee and the employer as a percentage in the investigation of accidents under Art. 190 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as relevant amendments to the Civil Code and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On compulsory insurance of employees from accidents during execution of labor (service) duties”.
Work on the above project is ongoing.
