The main topic of discussion was the results of the meeting of the Council of Domestic Entrepreneurs (CDE) in the oil and gas industry, chaired by the Prime Minister. Executive Director for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry, F. Abytov, reported on the main problematic issues raised at the CDE and on the protocol assignments of the Prime Minister to all interested state bodies. It should be noted that all proposals of the KAZENERGY Association were supported by the Prime Minister.
The following items were also discussed at the meeting:
- Report on the activities of the KAZENERGY Association in fulfilling the functions of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" in the oil and gas industry for 2022;
- Report on the implementation of the protocol assignments of the Committee for the Oil and Gas Industry of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken";
- Issues of taxation of subsoil users and the need to assess the impact of specific issues of taxation of hydrocarbon extraction and sales on the financial condition of oil and gas companies;
- Project plan for the Committee's work in 2023.
The importance of implementing all protocol assignments of the CDE, especially in terms of taxation and support for oil producing companies supplying oil to the domestic market, mature fields with rapidly declining production, was emphasized by the Chairman of the Committee for the Oil and Gas Industry of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", General Director of the KAZENERGY Association, K. Ibrashev.
As a result of the meeting, specific assignments were given by the Chairman and a work schedule for 2023 was approved.
