Special session “Gender policy in energy sector” involving the representatives of state authorities and research institutes of Central Asia, as well as KAZENERGY Women’s Energy Club (hereinafter referred to as WEC), was held on October 1 in Astana within the framework of the World Petroleum Council.
One of the speakers Aigul Baiturova, Head of Change Management Unit of Business Transformation Center of KEGOC JSC, reported on the topic: “KEGOC: SUCCESS OF WOMEN in “non-female” profession”. During her speech, the role and contribution of women to the development of the company and the unified energy system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the gender structure of KEGOC’s personnel, as well as the projects involving women, were discussed.
In addition, the meeting of WEC’s Executive Committee was held; the work plans for 2018-2019 were considered at the meeting, namely: regional onsite meetings with female staff of oil and gas companies, organization of the Forum in 2019, launch of the digital mentorship program in 2019, implementation of the information and analytical review “Women in energy sector” and other issues.
