On October 4, 2019, a seminar-meeting on “Social partnership in the oil and gas industry” with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Administration of Aktobe region, employers and representatives of employees of the oil and gas industry of Aktobe region was held at the site of CNPC-Aktobemunaigas JSC.
Welcoming speech was made by the Head of the Department of Labor Inspection of Aktobe region S. Amanbayev. In his speech, he noted the importance of holding events to discuss the development of social partnership and regulation of labor relations in the oil and gas companies of the region and spoke about the main activities of the Department in Aktobe region.
Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of the Oil Industry of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Makhanov has informed participants of the seminar-meeting on the activities of the Sectoral Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor Relations of the Oil and Gas Industry under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2019.
Head of the Oil and Gas Industry Labor and Social Issues Division of the Department of Oil Industry Development of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Zhaksylykov told about the ongoing development of social partnership and on measures to prevent labor conflicts in the industry.
Executive Director of KAZENERGY Association L. Akhmurzina, in her speech, spoke about the implementation of the Sectoral Agreement of the oil and gas, oil refining and petrochemical industries of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2019 and the main changes in the draft of the new Sectoral Agreement for 2020-2022.
Ye. Rakhimbergenov – Director of Social Policy Department of JSC NC KazMunayGas made a presentation on the ongoing social policy in the group of companies of JSC NC KazMunayGas.
T. Shunukova – Deputy Director of Human Resources Department of CNPC-Aktobemunaigas JSC told about social policy in CNPC-Aktobemunaigas JSC.
Representatives of trade unions reported on the development of the social partnership system and collective agreement based regulation of labor relations in member organizations, as well as participation in the development of the Sectoral Agreement for 2020-2022.
As a result of the seminar-meeting, the participants voiced recommendations to improve social policy and develop social dialogue in the workforce and at the industry level.
The holding of off-site seminar-meetings contributes to the development of an effective system of relations between the parties of social partnership in the oil and gas industry.
