Following the results of the winter and summer sessions, the progress of the scholarship holders of KAZENERGY Educational Program is monitored twice a year. In this regard, after the session each scholarship holder should to fill in the following questionnaire:

Information for APPLICANTS
In view of 11 years of cooperation, paying tribute to the memory of Safi Utebaev, one of the famous oil workers of Kazakhstan, the discoverer of Kulsary, Komsomolsk, Prorva, Kenkiyak, Karaton, Munaily, Zhetybai, Uzen, Tengiz oil fields, the author of more than 30 printed works on oil industry development, “KAZENERGY” Association and CHEVRON company announce the granting of his name to Chevron Scholarship.
Short biography Safi Utebayev
- S.U. Utebayev was born on May 25, 1909 in Karabatau village of Guryev region.
- In 1935 - graduated from Baku Oil Institute.
- In 1936-1945 – engineer, Head of “Makat”, “Kulsary”, “Komsomolsk” Oil plants, Chief engineer of “Embaneft” trust.
- 1945-1951- 1st Secretary of Zhilokosinskiy district committee of Kazakhstan KP.
- 1951-1957- Head of “Kazakhstanneft” Association of Guryev.
- 1957-1965 – Chairman of National Economy Council of Guryev region and West Kazakhstan.
- 1965-1971 – Head of “Kazakhstanneft” Association of Shevchenko.
- 1971-1980 – Deputy Director of Research Institute of technical information of the State Planning Committee of KazSSR.
- From 1980 – person receiving a merit pension.
- Is awarded the order of Lenin, the order of October revolution, 2nd category order of the Patriotic War, “Badge of Honour”, “Otan”, “Order of the Red Banner of Labour” (two times),
- “Leopard” order of the 1st category (2004),
- Medals of honoured oil worker of the USSR.
- Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Kazakh SSR.
- Honorary citizen of Aktau city, Atyrau city, Zhilokosinsky district.
- The discoverer of the oil fields of Kulsary, Komsomolsk,
- Prorva, Kenkiyak, Karaton, Munaily, Zhetybai, Uzen, Tengiz.
- The author of more than 30 printed works on oil industry development,
- two books of memories in the Kazakh language.
- He died on April 12, 2007.
