From October 28 to 30, 2025, the capital of North Macedonia hosted the 14th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (IFESD-14) under the theme “From Goals to Actions: Securing a Sustainable Energy Future.”
The event brought together more than 500 participants from 70 countries.
At the invitation of the Minister of Energy of North Macedonia, Sanja Bozhinovska, Kazakhstan was represented by Damir Narynbayev, Executive Director for the Development of the Electric Power Industry at KAZENERGY.
Kazakhstani experts took part in panel sessions, sharing their experience and vision for the development of the energy system, decarbonization, and the integration of renewable energy sources.
The outcomes of the forum were reflected in the Skopje Declaration, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to a sustainable and secure energy future.
IFESD is a global platform established in 2010 by the UNECE and UNESCAP to promote the principles of sustainable energy.
