On November 7, 2025, a working meeting was held at the KAZENERGY Association to discuss the preliminary results of geoecological and hydrogeological studies conducted within the Kokzhide sand massif area.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of JSC “NC KazMunayGas,” LLP “Qazaq Oil Aktobe,” JSC “CNPC-Aktobemunaigas,” LLP “Uriktau Operating,” JSC “KMK Munai,” LLP “Firma Adaoil,” LLP “KMG Engineering,” Satbayev University, and JSC “Kazhydrogeology.”
Dulat Kalitov, Head of the Research Center for Applied Hydrogeology at Satbayev University, presented preliminary findings regarding the potential for the rational joint use of oil fields and underground water resources.
Following the discussion, it was decided to submit the research materials to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for further review and coordination with relevant government bodies to develop final recommendations.
